Kate Lynburg is a book lover. She has always been a voracious reader, ever since her sister introduced her to the 'Nancy Drew' Mysteries. In high school, she used a manual typewriter to write her very first manuscript - a young adult fiction - to help pass the time waiting for new books to arrive.

She took a break from fiction writing to pursue her Ph.D in Engineering Applied Science through University of California, Davis and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. She has multiple scientific publications to her credit and has been issued 4 U.S. Patents.

While bed-ridden during each of her pregnancies, she read a huge number of books (fiction and non-fiction), and promptly went back to writing fiction after giving birth.

She lived in the SF Bay Area for 15 years, moved to West Virginia for 11 years and is now back in the SF Bay Area with her husband and two boys.
